# Cross-sells

> Pair products: when this is in the cart, offer that.

<Tip>**Plan:** Starter (3 rules) or Pro (10 rules).</Tip>

A cross-sell rule says: when a trigger product is in the cart, show these products as an offer in the popup's order summary. The buyer adds one with a tap, in either checkout mode.

Open **Settings → Cross-sells**.

## Building a rule

<Steps>
  <Step title="Name the rule">
    For your own reference only; buyers never see it.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pick the trigger products">
    Up to 20 products. The rule fires when any of them is in the cart.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pick what to offer">
    Up to 2 products per rule. Choose whether to **charge a specific variant** or **let the buyer choose their size**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Order your rules">
    Rules are matched top to bottom. Drag to reorder, and use the per-rule switch to pause one without deleting it.
  </Step>
</Steps>

You can also set one optional **section heading** shown above the offers, shop-wide.

<Note>
  At most **2 offers** appear in any one cart, however many rules match. The offers sit at the end of the order summary on desktop, and right after the continue button on mobile.
