# Billing

> Manage your plan, free trial, order usage, and cancellation.

Open the **Billing** page in the Sendway admin to manage your subscription. All charges go through Shopify and appear on your regular Shopify bill as a "Sendway app subscription" line — there is no separate invoice and you never enter a card in Sendway.

## What's on the page

## The 7-day free trial

Your **first paid plan starts with a 7-day free trial**:

* Billing starts only after the trial ends. Cancel before that and you pay nothing.
* The trial is offered **once per store**. If you've already had a paid plan before, a new upgrade starts billing right away.
* Switching plans mid-trial forfeits the remaining trial days — the new plan bills from the moment you approve it.

## Upgrading

<Steps>
  <Step title="Pick a plan">
    Click **Choose plan** on Starter or Pro.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm on Shopify">
    Shopify shows the subscription summary and asks you to approve it. This is standard for every Shopify app.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Done">
    You're brought back to Sendway with the new plan active. Upgrades take effect immediately — paid features unlock as soon as Shopify confirms.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Order usage and overage

Every plan includes a set number of orders per 30-day period (50 / 300 / 1,500). On **Starter and Pro**, orders beyond the allowance are billed **\$0.10 each** — the popup never pauses. On **Free**, the popup pauses at the cap and resumes when the counter resets or you upgrade.

<Note>
  When approving a paid plan, Shopify mentions a **\$500 usage limit every 30 days**. This is a safety ceiling Shopify requires from every usage-based app — the most Sendway could ever bill in usage charges in one period. It is not an amount you've agreed to pay; you're only charged for extra orders (and SMS messages) you actually use.
</Note>

## Cancelling

You can cancel any time from the Billing page:

* Shopify charges the current period in full (unused days aren't refunded), and you **keep every paid feature until the period ends**.
* When the period ends, your store moves to the **Free** plan automatically. The app stays installed and keeps working.
* Cancelling during the free trial ends paid features immediately — and you're not charged at all.

<Warning>
  **Cancelling ≠ uninstalling.** If you uninstall Sendway from Shopify, your courier accounts and delivery methods are deleted. If there's a chance you'll come back, cancel the plan but keep the app installed — your settings stay put.
</Warning>

## Changing plans — do I lose my settings?

No. Your delivery methods, courier accounts, payment and delivery rules, COD fees, branding, and blocklists are all kept when you move to a lower plan. They stop being applied while the feature is locked, and light up again if you upgrade back.

## Billing on development stores

If your shop is a Shopify development store, all billing runs in **test mode** — you can try every plan, the trial, and the upgrade flow with no real charges.
