Plan: Starter (1 bump) or Pro (3 bumps). Works in both checkout modes.
An Order Bump is a checkbox row inside the popup offering an extra product. Ticking it adds the product to the cart before the order is placed, without leaving the popup. Open Settings → Order Bumps.

Setting one up

1

Write the section heading (optional)

One heading shown above your bumps, shop-wide.
2

Choose the placement

Also shop-wide: above contact details, above delivery, or above the continue button.
3

Add the products

Pick a Shopify product and the exact variant to offer. Drag to reorder. Starter shows 1 bump, Pro up to 3; the counter on the card tells you where you stand.
4

Optional: ask the buyer for a note

Any bump can carry a short text field, for example a gift message. You set the field name, a hint, and the maximum length (200 characters by default, up to 500). The answer is saved on that line of the order.
Out-of-stock variants and variants without a price are refused, so a bump can never offer something you can’t ship.
Your configuration survives a plan change. If you drop from Pro to Starter, the extra bumps stop showing to buyers but stay saved, and come back when you upgrade again.

What makes a good bump

Offer an add-on that pairs with the order: insurance, gift wrapping, faster shipping, a refill. It should feel small next to the cart total.
One strong offer converts better than three weak ones, and every extra row is one more thing between the buyer and the button.
Shipping-related add-ons make sense above the delivery step. Impulse gifts work best right above the confirm button.
