Plan: Pro. Formerly called Exit Nudge.
When a buyer starts checking out and then tries to leave, Checkout rescue shows a short prompt: first it asks why they’re leaving, then it responds with the reaction you configured for that answer, such as a discount, a message, or a contact card. Open Settings → Checkout rescue to set it up.

How it works for the buyer

1

The buyer tries to leave

Closing or navigating away from the popup triggers the survey, at most as often as you allow.
2

One question

Your question with the reasons you’ve enabled, shown in a shuffled order. The buyer taps one or skips.
3

A tailored reaction

Based on the reason, the buyer sees the reaction you configured, or nothing if you chose no reaction for that answer.

Setting it up

1

Write the question and pick reasons

One short question, plus the answers to show. The catalog covers the common cases: shipping too expensive, delivery too slow, no convenient pickup point, price too high, wanted to pay by card, I have questions, changed my mind, just browsing, other. At least one has to stay active.
2

Choose a reaction per reason

For each active reason pick what happens next:
  • Coupon: offer one of your existing active Shopify discounts, with your own description and an optional countdown in seconds. Claiming applies it to the cart and returns the buyer to checkout.
  • Message: a custom reassurance or explanation.
  • Confirmation: a mini recap of their cart as a final prompt to finish.
  • Urgency: a short “stock is limited” style note.
  • Contact: your phone, Viber, or a link, for buyers with questions.
  • No reaction: just record the answer.
Message-style reactions take a headline, the message itself, and the wording of the stay and leave buttons.
3

Set the frequency and save

Every time, once a session, or once a day.

Where the results show

The Home dashboard gets a Checkout rescue card covering the last 30 days: how many times it was shown, how many orders it recovered, the recovery rate, and the revenue protected, plus a “Why buyers leave” breakdown of the answers. The card hides itself until the survey has actually been shown. The reason a buyer gave also travels with them: it appears on the matching row on the Abandoned carts page and on the order if they come back and buy.
Keep the coupon modest and honest. If the discount is too aggressive, buyers learn to abandon checkout on purpose to trigger it.
